Sponsor a Shelter Project

Do you like to see exactly where your money is going? Do you want to be able to see what your donation has achieved? If you are more comfortable donating to a specific project or activity please let us know.

Shelter can arrange for your donation to be used on a specific project or activity of your choice. There are various projects ongoing at any one time, big and small.

Become a Friend of Shelter

The aim of the Shelter Trust is to offer a way out of homelessness. We want homeless people to ‘move on’ and establish themselves in independent accommodation.

Sometimes it takes longer than a few days, weeks or even months for homeless people to be able to secure their own accommodation. And when they do have their own home, some people need a little help to sustain independent living.

Our ability to move people out of homelessness and in to sustainable independent living is dependent on the kindness and generosity of the whole community in Jersey. Our resources are scarce and the demands upon them are many.

We set up our ‘Friends of Shelter’ so that individuals in Jersey could help us support the island’s homeless. By becoming a ‘Friend of Shelter’ you can show your support for the Shelter Trust and take a step towards eradicating homelessness in Jersey.

As a ‘Friend of Shelter’ we will keep you informed about our work and activities. We will invite you to our events. You decide the extent to which you want to become involved.

Corporate Supporters

Shelter would like to encourage the private sector to consider other ways in which they might help voluntary organisations like ourselves, Other than by donating money.

We realise that it is not always possible to donate money to all the good causes you would like to support. Have you thought about donating some of your professional time instead?

Private sector organisations in Jersey have a wealth of professional and other skills that could be of use to Shelter and other voluntary organisations.

Whether your business is plumbing or accountancy, gardening or the law. Whether you can help us for a few hours one day or whether you’d like to commit to helping us over a longer period. We want your skills and your time.
