On behalf of The Shelter Trust, we would like to express our grateful thanks to Jersey’s community for supporting The Shelter Trust in this year’s Tinanthon. The generous donations resulted in over 10,000 tins collected, making a real difference to our service users.
The donation of tins goes a long way in providing meals to service users accessing our sites for food, accommodation and support, as well as in the distribution of food parcels for individuals and families struggling in the community through our Outreach Service, run in partnership with the Jersey Homeless Outreach Group.
The contribution from individuals, schools and companies in this important fundraising event evidences the positive impact our island’s community can make.
Once again, thank you for your support. Thanks also to the fantastic team of volunteers that worked hard throughout October to raise awareness of the event and in the collection and distribution of the donations to our Trust sites.
