Celebrating Richard Robins: MBE Award for Outstanding Service

We are thrilled to announce that Richard Robins, our dedicated long-serving volunteer and former Treasurer of The Shelter Trust, has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire).
MBEs are bestowed upon individuals who demonstrate exceptional achievement or service to the community. Richard’s unwavering commitment and impactful contributions to The Shelter Trust exemplify this spirit.
Throughout the years, Richard has tirelessly supported our cause, serving as a Trustee and Treasurer. His leadership in organising fundraising events, including the Soup Kitchen and Tinathon, has significantly benefited both the Trust and those we support.
In his humble words, Richard expressed surprise at receiving the award and graciously accepted it on behalf of the entire Shelter Trust team.
