SOUP KITCHEN 2014
This year's Soup Kitchen took place in the Royal Square on Tuesday 2nd December.
THOUSANDS of people packed into the Royal Square to buy their lunch - and raised £11,400 for homeless Islanders.
The annual Soup Kitchen in aid of the Shelter Trust for the Homeless saw 38 soups on sale from hotels, restaurants and other organisations, including the Jersey Field Squadron, Government House and the Jersey Evening Post.
Now in its 16th year, the event attracted a steady stream of customers - the first arriving at 9.30 am, an hour before it even opened - with all soups sold by by 2.30 pm.
Thank you to everyone who came along to buy soup and who helped make this year's Soup Kitchen such a success. As always, we are enormously grateful to our loyal volunteers and to the many sponsors who continue to support us year after year.
.Richard Robins, Organiser of the Soup Kitchen, welcomes everyone.
JCG giving us a great performance
